(“Today’s task, today’s job to complete.”)

Much has been said about learning Mandarin through music. Personally, I’m not really a BIG music fan. Having said that, it doesn’t mean I don’t like listening to it. It’s just that there are only a handful of artists that I listen again and again.

And this is one of them. His name is Dawen. This dude is a singer-songwriter based in Taipei, Taiwan He has recently written for commercial and television and will be preparing a new exciting project in Mandarin Chinese. His Chinese covers of popular English songs are definitely fun and entertaining. Something every Mandarin learner must find in their learning material.

I’ve included 3 of Dawen’s Chinese covers for your entertainment and education. Enjoy!

Don’t forget to subscribe to his Youtube channel :

“I Want it That Way” by the Backstreet Boys. (My personal favorite)

“Friday” by Rebecca Black

“Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen
